We have replaced all of our Table Saws with Stop Saws. Not only are they a great safety improvement, they are a great saw.

Cool Dave!

Now for the obvious question . . . Has anyone intentionally or unintentionally 'put it to the test'?
If so, how did it perform?

We had one instance where a curious person tried the hotdog test. Replacement of the brake and processor as well as the blade was the result. The cost of the saw stop module cost about $60.00 American. It is a good idea to install a key pad access device to keep unauthorized persons from using the saw.

There is a cool clip from the TV Show TimeWarp that shows the inventor trying the saw out on his own finger.
I will try to find it on YouTube to share.

Hi , had heard about the rationale , with respect to band saws in feezing (Abattoir) works but amazing to see it in clip - do you know if there has been any uptake from industries integrating this type of safety feature?

Office furniture is our product. Our wood plant and maintenance table saws have been replaced with Saw Stop. Our viewpoint is that since the technology exists it would be a violation of the General Duty Clause and our responsibility to provide a workplace free of known hazards. It is also a great saw.
