I run a LinkedIn Safety Group with more than 750 members. Everyone is welcome to join and connect with me.
This group is devoted to Safety, Human Resources and Training Professionals who must meet the challenge of training employees in safety and hazard control. Its mission is to provide a forum for the sharing of information, concepts and ideas that can improve the effectiveness and delivery of safety training in organizations.
Questions such as: What techniques, methods, or media are found to work best? How is the scope and depth of training determined? What training is required? Who should be trained? and so on. Much has been written on the topic of training but translating theory into reality needs inquiry and discussion.
Members are encouraged to contribute by opening discussions, posting comments, sharing experiences, providing training links and/or sites that may be of an interest to our members. Sharing of your presentations, links to training videos, podcast, blogs, (even games!) as well as links to resources or references that increase learning and awareness are welcome.
As a start, at www.ncsafetyandlife.com, you can download the OSHA booklet on training requirements (see the block on the upper right) or at www.drupalus.com/giveaways you can find the OSHA Field Operations Manual. Surprisingly, I have found that many people have not seen these booklets!
Welcome to what will be a great learning experience!
Thanks again for joining. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me.
